Maria Christina Yardas is from the beautiful country, Philippines, and now lives in Spring, Texas. She works as a nanny, restaurant staff, or any interesting job that helps her family.

 

The Tomball Community Writing Project was a dream come true for her because she loves to write stories and songs. Her affinity for writing started when she was in high school playing with paper dolls. She loved to write down the scripts instead of just making them up as she went along. When she was approached to become a part of this project, she was excited and scared at the same time. English is her second language, and she took advantage of the help that Tomball Community Library and others on the writing team provided to develop her chapter into its special place in the novel. 

 

Most of the time she stays at home playing and reading stories with her daughter, and that makes her life wonderful.
