Originally from the East Coast, 'L' spent most of her childhood in Houston. She has worked as a secretary, waitress, actress, counselor, newspaper reporter, stand-up comedienne, and joke writer. Her writing has been selected for Rice University’s Glasscock School of Continuing Studies Writers’ Gallery, published in both local and national publications, and earned awards in various Texas and Oklahoma writing groups. A member of Sisters In Crime, and a bookseller with Barnes & Noble since 2007, L’s favorite book recommendations fall in the Domestic Psychological Suspense category. 'L' has a humorous mystery in the editing stage, but she’s most excited about the manuscript she hopes to finish this year -- a novel of dark, psychological suspense.

When 'L' is not working at the bookstore or thinking up a scene for her novel, she enjoys: walks with her husband and their rescue dogs, laughing at Tonight Show episodes with her brother, and dreaming of visits to her wonderful step-children and grandchildren.
